Welcome to Ghoo

We've created a social mobile app that helps you connect with communities and includes a free AI chat feature. These Terms of Service describe the terms and conditions ("Terms") that apply to all services Ghoo LLC offers through our mobile application and all associated features ("Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you have any questions, please contact us at contact@ghoo.app.

We don't collect your AI chat messages.

For complete details about our privacy practices, please read our Privacy Policy, which applies to your use of our Services. One thing we want to highlight here: we do not collect or store your messages or prompts with our AI chat feature. All of them will be stored on your local device. Your conversations with the AI stay private.

We use ads to keep our app free.

Our app is supported by advertising through AdMob and other third-party mediation networks. By using our Services, you acknowledge that these advertising networks may collect certain data about you, including device information and location data. We don't control how these third parties collect or use your information. For more details and opt-out options, please see our Privacy Policy.

We expect you to use Ghoo responsibly.

To use our Services:

  • You must be at least 13 years old (if you're under 18, get your parent's or guardian's permission)

  • You must comply with these Terms and any additional service-specific terms

  • You must not use our Services for anything illegal or harmful

  • You must respect export control laws

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Your account belongs to you, but you're responsible for it.

TWhen you create an account, provide accurate information and keep it updated. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens on your account. Let us know immediately if your account is compromised.

The content you share is yours, but we need some permissions to make the app work.

You own the content you post on Ghoo. However, by posting content, you give us a license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content on our Service. You're promising that you have the right to share whatever you post and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

Don't do these things on Ghoo.

Please don't:

  • Try to break, overload, or damage our Service

  • Use bots or automated tools to access the Service

  • Impersonate others

  • Restrict anyone else's use or enjoyment of the Service

  • Post content that's hateful, violent, abusive, or discriminatory

  • Use the Service for anything illegal

  • Try to collect other users' personal information

Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise unreliable.

By its very nature, Duck.ai generates text with limited information. As such, Outputs that appear complete or accurate because of their detail or specificity may not be. For example, Duck.ai cannot dynamically retrieve information so Outputs may be outdated. You should not rely on any Output without verifying its contents using other sources, especially for professional advice (like medical, financial, or legal advice). If you use Duck.ai for coding related tasks, we are not, and the model providers are not, responsible for coding errors or vulnerabilities.

We make use of some great third-party components.

Our Service includes elements created by others that we use with permission:

  • Animated Emoji: Some animated emoji available in the app are provided by [Animated Emoji]. These remain the intellectual property of their respective owners.

  • Dice Bear: Avatar generation is powered by Dice Bear. Dice Bear is a trademark of its respective owner and is used with permission.

We can't guarantee everything will work perfectly.

To comply with the law, this section has to be written in more formal language. Sorry about that!

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GHOO LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We don't guarantee that the Service will always work perfectly or that the AI chat feature will always provide accurate or appropriate responses.

Child Safety Standards

At Ghoo, protecting children is a top priority. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any content, behavior, or activity involving child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE).

Our Commitment to Children Safety:

  • Users must be at least 13 years old to use Ghoo

  • Accounts for users aged 13-17 have enhanced protections

  • Our app is designed with safety as a foundation

  • We provide age-appropriate safety resources and education

Our Detection and Response Approach

  • We employ both automated systems and human moderators

  • Users can easily report concerning content with just a few taps

  • All potential CSAE content is immediately removed

  • We report all identified child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities

  • Our specialized child safety team reviews all reports involving minors

If something goes wrong, here's our liability limit.

IN NO EVENT WILL GHOO LLC OR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WILL BE LIMITED TO $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You'll help defend us if your use of the app causes problems.

If your use of our Service causes legal issues for us, you agree to defend and indemnify us (meaning you'll help protect us and cover our costs and damages).

We might change these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the modified version on our website and in the app with the new date. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app or by email. Continuing to use our Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.

Legal stuff.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Wyoming according to JAMS rules, unless we both agree to another method.
